Hello!⁣ ⁣ Thanks to all who placed orders this Hello!⁣ ⁣ Thanks to all who placed orders this month, it means the absolute world. I’ve loved helping arrange Secret Santas, reading your lovely messages and doing what I can to help! Thanks for your patience, kindness and festive spirit through this time. To my small business pals, I hope you’re all surviving and looking forward to a break!⁣ ⁣ I know some orders have not yet arrived and I understand your frustration, but please try to be kind when contacting me, or any small businesses you have bought from. Please be mindful that we’re just a human being at the other end of your message. I’m always happy to help with any queries, but I don’t have exact answers when it comes to delays. I’m not trying to ruin your Christmas, nor have I lied regarding timescales; I have always acted upon the information given by Royal Mail. Please believe me when I say I am as upset, anxious and frustrated as every one of you to be in this situation, when I’ve tried to do my best.⁣ ⁣ If you’re not aware, Royal Mail are experiencing delays due to overcapacity. Items sent 1st class are taking around 9 working days to arrive and 2nd class up to 4 weeks! 2020 has been an awful time and postal delays are just another unfortunate side effect. I tried to mitigate delays by upgrading ALL standard delivery orders to 1st class at no extra cost, but it hasn’t been enough. I can't speed up delivery. If I could turn myself into Santa and fly around the world in a sleigh, I would in a heartbeat.⁣ ⁣ Thank you to every postal staff member working your socks off to get the job done. Please spare a thought for the reasons why your mail might be delayed - they may be off sick or self-isolating leading to staff shortages - in the middle of a pandemic it cannot be helped. I’ve also heard that Royal Mail are prioritising parcels over letters to work through the backlog - most of my orders are dispatched as letters. All these factors play a part in these delays.⁣ ⁣ Please be understanding. Please be patient. We’re doing all we can! It’s unlikely your order is lost and more likely to be stuck in transit and just need a wee bit more time to get to you.⁣ ⁣ Merry Christmas and here’s to a better 2021.
